Swim with our principal seal-swim guide, John the Walrus. Long time adventurer and nature-lover, now turned professional singer / storyteller. His unique qualities and knowledge ensure this experience will be like no other.
A lot will happen on the four hour journey which includes a full briefing, and 1 hours scenic water-taxi ride, taking in the bays and coves of the beautiful Abel Tasman. We pass dozens of stunning coves and golden sand beaches on our way up to the Marine Reserve. If we encounter dolphins, we may jump in with them, briefly. (Unlike seals, they tend not to stay).

More departures, more flexibility, more freedom
Scheduled Sailings Aqua Taxis depart Marahau and Kaiteriteri on a scenic tour to all beaches in the Park, leaving the Aqua Taxi base at 8.00am, 9:00am,10:30am,12:00 noon, 1:30pm and 3.00pm.
One-way fares range from $25 to $45 depending on the distance travelled. The 8.00am, 10:30am 12.00 noon and 3:00pm sailings are seasonal only.
Exclusive Charters get the undivided attention of one of our knowledgeable skippers, for a tailor-made experience of the Abel Tasman National Park.PRICE: $150 for first hour and $100 per hour thereafter for two passengers.
Pack Transport, a service to our passengers that makes tramping the Abel Tasman a breeze! We can shift your packs between huts each day, leaving you to wander and explore unencumbered.PRICE: $8-12 per pack or container per trip, depending on weight.
Free Car Parking: We have a large off road car park at our Marahau base for passengers to leave their cars while in the park. The Aqua Taxi base is only five minutes walk from the southern end of the Abel Tasman track. Cars are out of sight from the road and overlooked by private residence. Secure parking can be arranged.PRICE: Off Road Car Parking: FREE • Secure parking: $5 per night.
Scallop Fishing - Seasonal, 15th July to 14th February For Seafood Lovers! See what comes up in the dredge and take some delicious Tasman Bay scallops home. The trip takes approximately 2 hours and starts at 5pm.PRICE: $60 per person. (Min 5 persons)

Kaiteriteri Boat Charters
Cruise the Abel Tasman's coastline, inlets, islands, marine reserve, history and wildlife from the comfort of your own private charter boat.

Aquapackers
Aquapackers, unique floating accommodation in the heart of the Abel Tasman National Park.
Aquapackers is backpacker accommodation aboard two
specially converted boats and is the original and only floating accommodation in the Abel Tasman National Park in Nelson, New Zealand. Our newest boat is a 13 metre catamaran called Catarac. Our original boat is a WWII navy patrol boat called Parore.
Both boats have recently been refurbished to comfortably accommodate backpackers in clean and modern facilities, including hot showers, flush toilets, confortable beds and bar facilities.
The accommodation aboard our boat is made up of 4 private double cabins and 3 dorm rooms with a total capacity of 32 passengers.
Included in the price of a dorm room or a private cabin is:
dinner (BBQ or a home cooked meal)
bedding
fantastic scenery and surroundings
continental breakfast
a packed lunch for your activities the following day
complimentary tea and coffee
reasonably priced bar facility
three sit upon kayaks for a relaxed paddle around the bay in the evening
